After extensive debate the revisions relating to parry and dodge have been incorporated onto the combat page.
I have also added a new Warrior Cascade skill, Mounted Charge, in response to requests to make mounted charges meaningful. Characters who should have this skill will be able to select it as a cascade, and it will help separate “mounted fighters” from “mounted non-fighters”.

Has Cavalry been moved somewhere else ?
I might suggest skills should go:
1st: Horsemanship (just to be able to ride a horse)
then
2nd: Cavalry – to be able to fight on horseback at
all. Basic level. Would require
a trained horse.
then
3rd Fight on Horseback – now you get skill bonuses
to your Cav skill(s). Impose a morale
check on opponent. Your trained horse
then
4th Mounted Charge – the epitome of mounted
skills. There might also be an
allownace that you spear your target
and don’t reak your spear. Impose even
bigger morale check on opponent.
Tournament lances were specially rigged TO break, combat ones were specally reinforced to NOT break. Still, a knight’s squire would have a stock ready tore-arm his master.
Also, as previously discussed, a skilled armsman w/a polearm or bill of somesort can stand-off an individual mounted warrior or knight. Two mounted fighters will despatch the single billman handily.
I’ve been researching horse/mounted warfare & we should discuss this a bit.
